Dr. Hackney

Dr. Hackney has a strong passion for educating women about their bodies and health throughout all of the phases of their lives. She firmly believes that every patient is special and unique and requires individualized attention and treatment to promote healthy decision making and improve healthy habits.

Dr. Hackney’s family immigrated to the United States from St. Vincent and the Grenadines in the Caribbean to New York. While growing up, she always knew her life-long calling was to practice medicine.

Dr. Hackney completed her undergraduate degree at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island and received her medical degree from the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. She relocated to Washington, DC Metropolitan Area to complete her post-graduate training at Howard University Hospital in the Department of OB/GYN. She became Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 1996.

She is currently a fellow of ACOG (American College of OB/GYN) and has been in practice in the DC Metropolitan Area since 1995.
